The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7601 is a great hitch for your 2017 Outback Wagon. When installing this hitch the rear fascia does need to be trimmed on your vehicle.

The hitch is installed using the bumper beam bolts. I went to the warehouse and took a measurement of this hitch. It measures 4-1/2 inches from the mounting plate on the hitch to the center of the hitch pin hole. If you can see the mounting holes on the bumper beam of your Outback measure 4-1/2 inches rearward to see where the hitch pin hole will be.

Once you get that measurement you can check out the Hollywood bike racks link I have attached. Each bike carrier lists the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the bike carrier. As long as the bike rack you are looking at has a distance greater than the distance you find when you measure your Outback you will have enough clearance for the carrier.
