Internal Components Of A Lippert Electric Trailer Jack
Question:
I have a Lippert electric trailer jack that was a floor model. I am sure that I installed and wired it correctly, but it doesnt work. I took off the top cover and saw that the LED light components are missing. I have a feeling that it may have been cannibalized to provide parts for another unit. Could the absence of those components cause the jack to not work? I have attached a couple photos of the inside of the units head. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I reached out to my contact at Lippert and they informed me that the missing LED lights on the jack would not cause the jack not to function. I would triple check to ensure your wiring is correct. I would also ensure the ground is connected to a bare metal surface on the trailers frame rail. You may also want to run an additional ground to the frame from the mounting bracket if the factory ground is integrated into the a-frame bracket.
If you can provide me with the model number of the jack, I can give you the parts list to ensure you are not missing any other key components.
