Replacement Over-Under Conversion Kit For 3,500 Lb Axle On 2007 Fleetwood Trailer
Question:
What is a double eye leaf spring? I have a 2007 Fleetwood Utah, 23/8 axle and want to make sure this kit will work. Thank you

I have attached a helpful article about double-eye trailer suspension you can check out. Basically, the leaf spring has an "eye," or bolt hole, at each end of the spring, created by rolling the steel of the spring to make a circle.
The Over-Under kit # K71-384-00 you asked about is designed for a 2-3/8 inch axle and should work well for you. While you have the suspension apart it is always good to inspect the rest of the parts and replace any that show signs of being work or damaged. The spring seats included in the kit will need to be welded to the axle.
When choosing replacement springs you need to know what size you need. That is determined by the axle on the trailer. A 2-3/8 inch diameter axle is a 3,500 lb axle. You then need to measure the eye-to-eye center on the spring to find the right length spring. Please note that on older leaf springs they can flatten out a bit so you need to allow for that when looking for springs. It is always a good idea to replace both sides so the trailer remains level.
I have attached a link to the 3,500 lb double-leaf springs we offer. If the eye-to-eye measurement is 27 inches then I recommend part # SP-210275.
