Brake Light Switch Kit for 2015 Chevy Equinox to Activate InvisiBrake Monitoring System
Question:
We are unable to find out where to hook the monitor wire for the brake light switch in the 2015 equinox awd 2.4 l engine. Another of your articles led me to a thing called the body control module but it is different from the 2011-2012 in the other answer. Can you tell me the best way to access the wire which becomes energized when the brake pedal is pressed? This is my last road block to getting this job done. The RM-8700 is working perfectly except for the monitor wire in the motor home.

Chevy did make things a little complicated on the 2015 Chevy Equinox but I have a solution for you. You can install stop light switch kit # RM-751439 and run the power out to the brake pedal monitoring system for the Invisibrake # RM-8700. It is actually required for this exact reason. I have linked a video showing an example installation on a 2014 Equinox. It will be nearly identical on your 2015 model.
