Recommended Trailer Hitch for Transporting Bikes on 2015 Honda Fit

Question:

I have a 2015 Honda Fit. I see that there are two trailer hitches...draw tite and curt class. Which would be more appropriate for a bike rack Draw Tite? Thanks

For your 2015 Honda Fit, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class I Trailer Hitch # 24920. Both this trailer hitch and the Curt # C11406 that is also confirmed to fit your vehicle have the same 1-1/4 inch receiver opening and 200 pound tongue weight capacity. The reason I recommend the Draw-Tite model is because you are not required to support non-trailer loads such as bike racks and cargo carriers with a stabilizing strap. Curt requires this for their trailer hitch in order for it to remain under warranty.

I have attached an installation video on your 2015 Honda Fit for you to check out.

We have a large number of hitch bike racks available for use with your vehicle. You will just want to make sure the rack you choose is compatible with Class I trailer hitches. I have attached a link that will take you to our available selection of compatible bike racks.

I recommend looking at the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack # S64683. This rack can hold up to 2 bikes at 45 pounds each and can tilt down with the bikes still loaded for easy rear cargo access. The carrier also has built-in bike and cable locks to secure the rack to your vehicle and the bikes to the rack. I have attached a demonstration video on this product for you to review.
