I called my representative at Ram International, and they informed me that the Square A-Frame Jack w/ Footplate part # TJDA-5000S has a drop leg made of zinc plated steel. The outer sleeve in which the drop leg is positioned in is made of steel as well with a black powder coated finish.
Both of these surfaces should be fairly easy to weld with a little surface prep work.
