Will Thule Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, # TH859XT Fit Factory Cross Bars on a 2009 Toyota FJ Cruiser

I was wanting to know if this will slide inside my factory roof rack on my 2009 Toyota FJ Cruiser and is there a way to mount from the top bar instead of the bottom rail?

The Thule Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, # TH859XT, is designed to ride on top of roof rack cross bars that run side to side on the vehicle roof. You would not be able to easily install it in another way because it is not designed for other mounting options. As long as the cross bars on your 2009 Toyota FJ Cruiser are spaced between 20 inches and 37 inches apart, the basket will fit. I have included links to a video review for reference.
