Will Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock Work with Older Model Thule Hitching Post # 91944?
Question:
Hi, I have an old Thule Hitching Post model 91944 and it carries four bikes on a 1-1/4 inch hitch. I would like to know if there is a lock that I can use to secure the carrier to the hitch? In the instruction manual, the manufacturer recommend using the Snug Tite Lock. Is this lock still available for purchase and if not, is there a different one available that would be compatible? Finally, what cable lock would you recommend to lock 4 bikes on this carrier? Thank you for your help!

I spoke to a representative of Thule who confirmed the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device # THSTL2 will work with your older model Thule Hitching Post. I would recommend you stick with the high-quality Thule brand for your cable lock, # TH538XT.
For a boost of convenience, replace the lock cylinders with the Thule One-Key System, # TH450200.
I have attached links to video reviews of each of these products for you to take a look at.
