The Curt Roof Mounted Basket, # C18115, will fit most factory and aftermarket crossbars. Basket must be installed directly to the roof rack crossbars. The basket will fit crossbar spreads of 15, 22, or 29 inches apart.
If you do not have the factory crossbars installed on your 2013 ford Explorer, then I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack System, # RRVA137B-2 Vortex Aero Crossbars and # RRSX100 SX Series Legs. This rack will mount to the factory existing rails that run front to back on the roof of the Explorer. The custom-fit legs will clamp on to the raised roof rails and tighten using the included mounting tool.
