The intended applications for the Pollak 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector, # HM40975, are listed below.

Replaces factory 7-way connector on Chevrolet, Ford, GMC and Nissan trucks and SUVs
Can be used to add a connector to 2003 and newer GM pickups and SUVs
Exact replacement for Chrysler/Dodge vehicles with 7-pole socket from the factory

To add a 7-Way to your 1994 Chevy Suburban, you will first need a 4-Way harness. If you do not already have one, you will need T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector, # C55319. I have included a link to the installation details and a video showing installation for reference.

You would then need to add a 4 and 7 Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7. The 4-Way will plug into the back of the ETBC7 and the remaining wires will need to be hardwired to the vehicle. I have included links to 2 FAQ articles and a video showing a typical installation.

If the trailer you plan to tow has electric brakes, you will also need a brake controller. I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, # 90885. It is one of our most popular models because it is easy to use and easy to set up. I have included a link to the installation details for this brake controller as well.
