Does Weight Capacity for Timbrens Affect Weight Capacity of Vehicle they are Installed In

Question:

Probably a dumb question. But this part states it has a 8600 lbs capacity. Is this referring to payload or to towing capacity? My truck has a towing capacity of over 10000lbs, but I definitely am sagging while pulling my 8300lbs trailer. With my trailer loaded up, I am sure I am past 8600lbs. I just wanted to see if this product would help me out. Thank you.

The weight capacity of the Timbren kits are not actual increases in towing capacity. They basically are how much support they can provide. But at the same time they do not change the overall capacity of the truck. They basically can provide support that will help the vehicle carry it's own capacity better.

For your 2016 Ram 1500 the part # TDR1500DQ will work and help you reduce sag greatly.
