What does the fifth wheel rails bolt to under the bed of the truck, is there a bracket for front and back rail

For 5th wheel installation kits with above the bed rails the rails will attach to brackets that mount to the truck frame rails. Some kits will have just 2 brackets that are long enough for the front and rear rails to bolt to them. Other kits will use 4 brackets. It depends on the kit and what the truck requires.

You mentioned that you have a 2009 2500 long bed dually but did not mention if it was a Silverado/Sierra or a Ram so I will provide recommendations for both.

If your truck is a Silverado or Sierra then I recommend Reese custom installation kit # RP50064-58. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.

If your truck is a Ram then I recommend custom installation kit # RP50140-58. I have included a link to a video showing an example installation of this kit as well.

Custom kits are preferred because they require far less drilling, including no drilling into the truck frame for the kits mentioned above, compared to universal kits.
