Not Operational - Low Battery Message On The Remote Unit Of Roadmaster Even Brake System # RM-9400

Question:

My Evenbrake gives the Not Operational - Low Battery message in the remote unit with a towed vehicle battery voltage of 12.4. Since a voltage of 12.4 isnt low, is there a way to adjust the box so it doesnt holler wolf? I assume its the ICX box that determines when to cut the power. Do I need to replace the box, or can it be adjusted, or ???? Thanks

I spoke with my contact at Roadmaster and he said if your battery is reading 12 volts you will want to test the 12 volt outlet that the remote is plugged into with a voltmeter. He said on the Roadmaster Even Brake System, part # RM-9400, the remote needs to be receiving 12 volts for the unit to be working properly. If it is receiving less than 12 volts through the outlet it will give the Not Operational - Low Battery message.

If the 12 volt outlet is not showing 12 volts you will need to install the Roadmaster 12 Volt Outlet Kit, part # RM-9332. Some vehicles do not have 12 volts at the power outlet and require the outlet kit.
