How to Power Supplemental Braking on Vehicle that Battery Gets Disconnected

I recently purchased 2017 GMC Canyon. The owners manual directs that the battery be disconnected while towing. where do the supplemental braking systems get their power ie. to power the compressor. Is there a way around this?

That's a very good question. The part # RM-9332 is designed for this exact situation. What it allows you to do is disconnect the battery for the vehicle but then with it wired up you are left with a 12 volt accessory connector that is active with the vehicle totally disconnected.
