Do Draw-Tite Hitch Receivers for 2015 Ford Edge SEL Require Support Strap Like the Curt Hitch

Does the Draw-Tite hitch #75214 require a stabilizing strap like the comparable curt model? This hitch will be for a 2015 Ford Edge SEL.

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75214 that fits your 2015 Ford Edge SEL does not require the support strap, part # 18050, like the Curt Receiver # C13234 does.
The strap is required per Curt's warranty when carrying any non-trailer loads like a bike rack or cargo carrier.
The other Draw-Tite # 75234 for the Edge SEL doesn't require the strap either. This hitch has a more hidden look since all you see when installed is the receiver tube and the safety chain loops.
