Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2011 Nissan Rogue With Thule Camber 2 Bike Carrier
Question:
What trailer hitch do you recommend for the following? 2011 Nissan Rogue SV not Krom with a Thule Helium bike carrier.

Expert Reply:
I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Class III 2 Inch Hitch, part # 75902, for your 2011 Nissan Rogue SV. This is a 2 inch hitch with a towing weight capacity of 3,500 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 350 lbs. The 2 inch size hitch is the most common.
The Draw-Tite Class II 1-1/4 Inch Hitch, part # 36542, you have referenced is a Class II trailer hitch. The 1-1/4 inch receiver will limit your choices of hitch accessories and if you decide to tow a small trailer in the future, the 2 inch receiver of the Class III hitch is the most common size that is used for towing.
Both trailer hitches have similar weight capacities and will work just fine on your vehicle, but the 2 inch Class III hitch is more versatile.
The Thule Camber 2 Bike Carrier, part # TH9058, will work on both the 1-1/4 inch hitch and the 2 inch hitch.
I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Draw-Tite Hitch and a video link to the same hitch being installed on a 2012 Nissan Rogue. Also, links to a couple of FAQ pages on trailer hitches.
