Will 1/2 Inch Wire Loom Fit In Junction Box Ports Of #38656
Question:
What sizes IDs are the ports for the wiring to enter the junction box?Curious about the actual holes cut through the boxes and the approx. opening through the grommet bushings? Will the 1/2inch Wire Loom E-Trailer offers be a good fit through the included grommet bushings or will it be too large for them? Thanks.

The outer diameter of the # H20046 cable is 5/8 inches and can fit snugly in the junction box port using the rubber grommet provided in the junction box # 38656. This is probably the thickest wire you can use and still keep the rubber seal, so the 1/2 inch loom # 459075-1 will fit nicely. If you want the kit we have pieced together, you can use the Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit # HS381-9000. I also like to recommend the 7-Way Molded Trailer Plug with Junction Box # e99011 which has a nice sealed end.
These boxes use Ring Terminal - 12-10 Gauge Wire - 3/16" Ring ID # 44-5310A for a nice fit.
