How to Keep Towed Cars Taillights From Overriding RVs Lights While Flat Towing
Question:
I am planning to buy Hopkins Universal Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles Item # HM55999 for flat towing a civic and also planning to use surge breaks. I wondering if the break light turning on from the surge breaking action will interfere with the breaking light signal coming from the motor home through the Hopkins Universal Tail Light Wiring. Will this be a problem? ...how can both interact?

Expert Reply:
If your Civic's brake lights turn on even when the vehicle is not running you need a Brake-Lite Relay # RM-88400. This will keep the Honda's lights from overriding the RV's.
