Availability of Replacment Parts and Repair Kits for a Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar

Question:

I have owned a Falcon II for 8 years. Im concerned of the condition of the pin where the tow bar swivels. Ive not tried to disassemble it for inspection. How do I know what is its condition. Ive used it every year towing a 2003 Dodge Dakota 4X4. It has performed very well so far. Its a 5000 # towbar. Please advise

If there is any doubt at all, I would replace any worn parts. With a tow bar that has seen as much action as your Falcon II, # RM-520, it would be a good idea to give it some replacement parts so it will continue to serve you well.

In the realm of Falcon series tow bar replacement parts, we have the RoadMaster Autowlok Repair Kit for Falcon Tow Bars, # RM-910003-50. I have included a link to the installation details for reference. We also have the RoadMaster Replacement Button and Glue Kit, # RM-910003-00, if needed. We also carry the Roadmaster Locking Pin Repair Kit, # RM-910003-80.

We also have replacement pins. You would need RoadMaster 3/4 Inch Diameter Pin with Linchpin and Chain, # RM-910008-00 or # RM-910007 for 1/2 inch pins. We also have the base pins, # RM-910029. Basically, if you can see any stress fractures, or any of the hardware is even slightly bent or chipped, it is time to replace it.
