What are the Inside Dimensions of the Optronics Replacement Red Lens # A32RB

Question:

What are the INSIDE measurements on the A32AB/RB lens or what is the thickness of the lens? The lens thickness on my lens is 1/16. Outside doesnt matter unless the lens has to fit in a housing or something as far as I can tell.

I went out to the warehouse to look at the Optronics Replacement Red Lens # A32RB referenced in your question. I measured the inside dimensions of the lens and it is 3-3/4 inches long x 1-3/4 inches in height. The actual thickness of the lens is right round 1/8 inches.

I have attached an image with these dimensions for you to look at.

The SAE number of a trailer light isn't always the best way to pick out a replacement light since that isn't a part number. But most likely you are looking for a #A32RB which measures 4 inch by 2 inch.

Hi, this is a snap-on red lens that replaces a damaged Optronics clearance or side marker light, it fits the MC32 and MCL32 series lights. It is 4" x 2". Please note the link for product review video.

I went out to the warehouse and compared the Replacement Red Lens #A32RB and the Light Replacement Lens #34-59-010 and found that they are nearly identical so you should be able to use one over the other. They are from different manufacturers though…

Red lens part #A32RB fits an Optronics light #MC32RB and measures 4 L x 2 W x 1/2 D. Amber lens part #A32AB fits their #MC32AB and measures the same.

Both the #MC32RB and the #MC32AB do not have foam gaskets between the lens and the base. It is unlikely but possible that your current trailer lights had lenses that were once color and have now faded to being totally clear.

I called Rockwood to find out exactly which model of light they use on their pop-ups. This lens is for the exact light they used on your pop up. Part #A32RB is the red and if you need an amber you would use part #A32AB.

Normally the SAE number isn't a reliable way to pick out replacement lenses, but we know that the #A32RB is the correct replacement for a lens marked SAE-A-P2-DOT-02 like what you have. For an all new assembly you'd want the part #MC32RB.
