Recommendation on a Direct Fit Slider Hitch for a 2014 Ram 2500 w/ Factory Puck System

Question:

I have a 2014 RAM2500 with factory puck system. It is a shortbed so I need a sliding hitch. I found the above bed rail system adapter than mounts to the 4 pucks and them bolt a hitch to that. However, Im looking for a direct mount hitch that bypasses the need for above bed rails? What part number would that be? Thanks

I recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider, # BWRVK3670. This B&W hitch is designed to fit the OEM Ram puck system and does not need to use the 5th wheel rail adapter.

The B&W Companion has a gross towing weight rating of 20K. This hitch slider will give you 12 inched of travel from front to back. The 1 inch thick dual jaws will provide 360-degree jaw-to-king pin contact. The dual jaw design will provide for less rattle that is heard in typical single jaw 5th wheel designs.

I also recommend using the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness, # 41157. This wiring harness will allow you to mount a trailer connection in the bed of the truck which will make the 5th wheel trailer to truck connection closer and hassle-free hookup. This harness will plug in line with the factory 7-way connector.
