What is the Difference Between the Kenda AM30040 and the Kenda AM30000

Question:

Why would a Kenda load C Item # AM30040 cost less than a load B Item # AM30000? Why would I buy a load B instead of C? My trailer total load is only around 500 lbs. Are there any benefits such as less bouncing by running lower pressure? Couldnt I run either one of these two models at 35 psi and not detect a real difference in performace? Thanks

Since prices fluctuate from time to time, the Kenda # AM30040 Load C, which is currently priced a little less than the Kenda # AM30000 Load B, is definitely the tire and wheel combination I would go with since it has a higher weight capacity. The only real differences that you will see is that the Load C tire will be able to stay a little cooler and handle higher weights with less stress.

A few things you will want to keep in mind when operating; even though part # AM30040 has a higher weight capacity (745 lbs at 90 psi) than part # AM30000 (590 lbs at 60 psi), if you go with the Load C option, it will not increase the weight capacity of your axles if they are under 1,500 lbs. You're weight limited is always restricted by the lowest rated piece of equipment that you are using.

You will also want to make sure that you are filling up the tires to their proper psi. Since the Load C # AM30040 is 745 lbs at 90 psi, you will want to make sure that the tire is filled up to, but not more, than 90 psi. Otherwise you might not get the same performance out of the tire. The same thing goes for the Load B # AM30000 which is 590 lbs at 60 psi. Neither of these tires should be used if only filled up to 35 psi.
