recommendation for a Brake Controller to Fit a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
Need brake controller and harness for a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited eco diesel. I assume that Jeep is wired, and already has a plug in ready for harness. What is your recommendation and cost? I was thinking P3.

We can help you find a brake controller that will work with your 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Prodigy P3 Brake Controller, # 90195, that you referenced will be a great choice for your Jeep.
The P3 is a proportional controller that will apply your trailer brakes with the equal intensity when you apply the brakes on your Grand Cherokee. This controller will activate immediately as soon as you press the Jeep's brake paddle. There will be no delay in between vehicle braking and trailer braking.
As for installation, if you already have the 7-way connecter installed at the rear of your vehicle, then you will need # TK93VR Brake Controller Wiring Harness. This harness will plug into the rear of the brake controller and the other end will connect to a wiring plug under the dash of your Jeep.
However, if you do not have the 7-way connector at the rear, then the # ETBC7 kit is required for installing the P3 to your Jeep. The # ETBC7 kit will include all wiring, electrical components, and a 7-way connecter. The installation requires running wire along the Jeep's frame to connect the brake connector and the 7-way together. I have attached a picture that shows a wiring diagram showing the typical wiring when using the # ETBC7 kit.
I have also attached two articles for you to review and an installation video on the Prodigy P3 brake controller for your to view.
