Recommended 4 Bike Rack for a Class C Motorhome

Question:

I see that Thule says not to be used on motorhomes, however, has it been used successfully in this capacity? I understand there is a lot of movement on the back of an RV do to the long wheel base and thats where the problem lies. Is there a brand/model that is the best for an RV? I have been reading so many reviews my head is spinning!! Help!!! Thanks so much!

When looking for a bike rack to use with a motorhome it is extremely important to make sure that the bike rack is approved for use on an RV. You are correct when talking about the extra movement at the rear of an RV. The Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR that you referenced is not rated for use on an RV, but I do have some other options for you.

Yakima has their LongHaul 4 Bike Rack # Y02476 which is very similar to the Hitching Post Pro. It is rated for use on an RV, can carry up to 4 bike (37.5 lbs per bike), and has a threaded hitch pin to help take the noise and movement out of the bike rack. It also comes with 2 safety straps with buckles to help stabilize your bike(s) during transport. This bike rack includes the locks already installed.

I have attached some demonstration videos for you to review as well.
