Does Curt Trailer Hitch for a 2015 Honda Civic Come with a Ball Mount
Question:
Not to knowledgeable about trailers and towing. What is the drawbar that has to be purchased separately with these units? Is it available from you? How much?

A drawbar, also known as a ball mount or stinger, is the part that fits into the hitch and provides a platform for a ball that the trailer will couple to. If you are looking at the Curt trailer hitch for a 2015 Honda Civic then you can use # C11391. The drawbar isn't included but you can add one using part # C45521. If you will be towing with the hitch then the ball size used needs to match what the trailer coupler requires. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch use # 19258.
You also need a wiring harness for the trailer's lghts. I've linked the harnesses that fit the 2015 Civic. You just need to use the drop down menu to select the exact model you have for the correct harness.
If you will not be towing a trailer then you will not need to have a ball mount or ball. If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.
Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or cargo carrier) per their warranty requirements. I have linked the Class I compatible 2-bike racks and cargo carriers for you.
