To flat tow your 2005 Saturn Vue you'll need a tow bar, base plates, wiring, and likely a high-low adapter. You'll also want to consult your owner's manual to make sure your vehicle is able to be flat towed without damaging it.

An inexpensive tow bar that connects to your RV's hitch ball is the Roadmaster Tracker # RM-020. If you prefer a hitch mount I recommend the Falcon 2 # RM-520. For safety cables to go with the tow bar use # RM-643.

The base plates I suggest for your Saturn if you have a 4 cylinder is # 3111-1 or if you have a 6 cylinder # 3121-1. If the Vue is a Red Line model you'll need Blue Ox base plates # BX3321. If you have the Red Line I suggest using a Blue Ox tow bar as well like the Avail # BX7420.

For lights on your Saturn I suggest using # RM-155. This will bypass the vehicle's wiring by installing into the tail light housing. Your Vue requires a fuse to be pulled to flat tow. Consult your owner's manual for this. Instead of pulling the fuse each time you can use a bypass kit # RM76511.

For a supplemental braking system the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251 is a favorite around here because of how reliable it is and it's easier to install than many other permanently installed systems.

Finally, you'll likely need a high-low adapter. I've attached an article to help you determine the correct rise or drop your setup requires. I've also linked our selection of adapters for you to look at once you know what you need.

In addition to my recommendations I've linked some articles on flat towing that you may find helpful.
