Availability of Battery Disconnect Switch for Flat Towing 2016 Ford Focus

We have a 2016 Ford Focus and need to disconnect the negative battery cable. The dealer installed a Stay and Play Duo braking system that requires the negative cable to be connected. Is there a switch we can install that will disconnect the negative from the vehicle, but still allow power to the braking system?

Disconnecting the negative battery cable in your 2016 Ford Focus, either manually or via a switch, will still allow the battery to provide power to a braking system like the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251 referenced in your question. This is because disconnecting the negative cable will disconnect the battery from the vehicle, but will not prevent it from providing power to other components.
