Tire Chain Recommendation for a 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Plowing Steep Hills and Gravel Roads
Question:
What chains do you recommend for a 2007 Chevy HD2500 4x4 truck that will primarily plow gravel, icy, and steep roads .I was looking at the v bar chains for added traction on ice. 265/75/16

If you want V-Bar chain links for your truck equipped with 265/75-46 tires, I recommend the Titan Chains # TC2828 which is rated for off road use.
Since you will be working in snow and gravel more than ice, I recommend the Titan Chains # TC2228SCAM with hardened steel square links that will give you better traction. I also feel that the metal content means that they will last longer.
In order to get the features we wanted we have to accept chains with cam tighteners. However, as long as you use rubber tensioners like # PW105 you will be fine.
