Installing 7-Way and 5-Way Trailer Connectors on a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder to Tow Different Trailers
Question:
Good morning, I have a 06 Nissan Pathfinder with a 4 flat harness, my boat trailer needs a 5 flat to lock out the hydraulic brakes on the trailer when reversing, and we are about to purchase a camper that requires a 7 round I think its blade connector with a brake controller inside the vehicle. Could you advise me on what equipment I need for this install so all trailers work properly? Your response will be much appreciated!

We have just what you need to tow the new camper with the 7-way as well as the boat trailer with the 5-way.
First let's get a 7-way trailer connector on your 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. Since you already have a 4-way connector you can use it to install our # ETBC7 kit. This uses your existing 4-way to install a 7-way. Plus, it includes everything you need to connect an electric brake controller in your Pathfinder. The brake controller I suggest, if you don't have one, is the Prodigy P3 # 90195. It has an LCD which makes it extremely easy to use.
I've linked a video of the P3 being installed using the # ETBC7 kit for you.
Now that you have a 7-way you can tow the camper. Then use a 7-way to 5-way adapter like # A75TB whenever you're towing your boat.
