The Thule Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, # TH859XT, attaches to cross bars that run side to side . It fits a wide range of sizes of crossbars so the size should not be a problem. It requires the crossbars to be spread apart between 20 inches and 37 inches. Take these measurements and check out the review video to see what you think.
There are a couple of baskets that are a direct fit to the factory cross bars on your 2005 Honda Pilot. According to Yakima and Thule, you can use any of the following:
