Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2016 Chevy Suburban

Question:

I have a 2500lb empty weight aluminum horse trailer. When I connect it to he vehicle the suburban squats several inches because of the tongue weight. This causes vibration in the truck which I guess is caused by the angle of the drive train. I am looking at air springs and weight distribution systems. The new suburbans receiver hitch is IN the bumper and not under the bumper as before and I use at least a 6inch for this trailer. I dont see any weight distribution systems that appears to compensate for the necessary I need. The trailer pulls fine and sway is not an issue. I am well under towing capacity for this vehicle and I am shocked by how weak the rear suspension is. I hook the same trailer to my truck and its like it not even there. I cant believe I need weight distribution for 2500# trailer!!

Considering the relative light weight of your trailer I would go with a suspension enhancement setup for your 2016 Chevy Suburban to reduce the sag. For that the air bag system par # F4108 will give you the flexibility in support to allow you to tailor the amount of support you would need.

The sag is related to the ride quality everyone wants now. Stiff suspension rides rough and nobody wants to deal with that any more. So the soft suspension allows the ride quality to be great but at the cost of suspension support.
