2016 Ford F150 Transmission Cooler and Brake Controller Recommendation

Question:

I recently purchased a 2016 F150 2WD with 3.31 gears. I would have gone with 4x4, but with the deal I got there was no question. Anyways, were looking to tow a small travel trailer and will be getting close to the 5000 pound limit fully loaded. For safety sake, Id like to install an auxiliary transmission cooler, as well as an electronic trailer braking module. Can you help with whatever parts I need for these two components? The only other thing that Ive heard is missing would be an expanded heavy duty radiator. From everything Ive read, I can only find one radiator for all F150 applications, so I dont think this is needed for newer year models. Thank you,

A brake controller and a transmission cooler would be perfect additions to your 2016 Ford F-150 to allow it to tow safer and prevent damage to the vehicle.

The most popular cooler we have that would work well is the Derale # D13503 which will sit in front of the radiator and measures 11" Wide x 8-3/4" tall x 7/8" deep. No other adapters are needed to install this.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P3 Brake Controller part # 90195. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.

For an install harness all you need is the part # 22292 for if you have a 7-way connector on the veicle. If instead you have a 4-way you will also need the # 37185. I attached install videos and help articles on this for you to check out as well.
