Parts Needed to Add Electric Over Hydraulic Disc Brakes to Trailer
Question:
Hello- I have a Loadmaster of Ohio painted steel trailer with a capacity of 8,800lbs. It came with electric drum brakes with 6 lug wheels. I am looking to convert to electric over hydraulic disc brakes. Can you please specify a package. At the same time, I would be interested in replacing the hubs but prefer them to be separate. Thanks

A great disc brake kit for your trailer is the Kodiak # K2HR526D. This includes two brake assemblies with a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern. They include the mounting bolts as welll. Since your trailer has hub and drum assemblies now you need to replace them with rotors.
If your trailer is a tandem axle the brake line kit I suggest is the HydraStar # HS496-152. If it isn't a tandem axle or you need a different length I've linked our selection of other HydraStar kits.
For an actuator the HydraStar # HBA16 is definitely the way to go.
To find the correct hubs you need we'll need the current bearing numbers on your trailer.
