Yes, the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 referenced in your question will work great in your 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe. This proportional brake controller will send power to your trailer's brakes at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in your vehicle.

Since your Chevrolet Tahoe has the factory tow package, you will just need the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3016 for installation. One end of the adapter will simply plug into the back of the brake controller and the other end will plug into the built-in port beneath your vehicle's dash.
