Yes, the etrailer Class III Trailer Hitch, # e98840, will fit your 2017 Honda Pilot without having to drill holes and it will fit with your doughnut spare. I attached an installation video on a 2017 Pilot for you to check out.
The installation is pretty straight forward, but you will have to lower the spare tire first. It will be reinstalled once the hitch is in position. There are three threaded holes on each side of your frame. Having a helper may make things easier, but you will just hold the hitch up in place and thread one of the included bolts into each hole to hold the hitch to the frame.
An installation video and the installation instructions are attached.
If you plan on doing any towing with your Pilot, you will want to pick up a trailer wiring harness, # 118760 and a ball mount and hitch ball. I attached a help article that explains how to choose the best ball mount to tow your trailer level. Choosing the correct ball mount is best done after the trailer hitch is installed because the amount of rise and drop you need can be different depending on the vehicle and trailer combination.
