Parts Needed to Equip 2011 Kia Sorento 4-Cylinder for Towing Trailer with Electric Brakes
Question:
I have a 4 cylinder Kia Sorrento 2011 that I would like to put a hitch part #75684. I need to pull a small camper that has brake assist. Which wiring system and brake controler would you recommend? I need the plug-in to be the 7 prong plug in to be compatible with my camper. Ive researched your website and it seems that I need to do 2 separate wiring systems, is this correct?

The Draw-Tite 2-inch Class III hitch # 75684 is an ideal choice for towing with your 2011 Kia Sorento 4-cylinder. You'll just want to check your owner's manual to confirm the car has the required towing capacity for your particular camper trailer when it is all loaded up.
Along with the hitch you will need a couple of other towing components so for the most flexibility I suggest the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit # 989900 which includes 2 hitch balls and 2 ball mounts along with the required pin and clip.
Wiring the Sorento for a brake controller and 7-way will require 2 kits, both a 4-pole wiring harness and a brake controller installation kit. These two items include all of the wiring components you'll need. You can use 4-pole kit # 118506 along with the brake controller install kit # ETBC7. This will allow installation of the included 7-way and a brake controller like the easy-to-use Prodigy P2 # 90885.
Two helpful articles are linked to aid the 4-pole harness and brake controller installations.
