Can Spare Tire Carrier be Used in Top Hitch Opening of Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter

I need about 4 inch drop in my motorhome hitch to align the towbar with my towed vehicle. If I use this Roadmaster dual hitch, could I then use a spare tire carrier such as Curt C31006 in the upper receiver? Thanks

Yes, the setup you described would work well. The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter # RM-077-4 will give you the drop you need when flat towing and the upper hitch opening would allow you to carry the spare carrier part # C31006.
