Weight Distribution System Recommend for 2015 Dodge Durango R/T Towing 2017 Rockwood Roo 21ss

Question:

I will be getting a 2017 Rockwood Roo 21ss dry weight ~4500 lbs, hitch weight of ~510 lbs, hitch to tail, around 24/25. My Durango can tow 7200 lbs, hitch weight of 710 lbs. Which WD hitch with sway control would you best recommend. I currently tow a pop-up thats just under 3k lbs, and have a sway control hitch set up not sure of specs, but its a Reese, but it came with the unit that I bought, and is probably for a much smaller rig. Thanks in advance!

For your tongue weight of 510 lbs the Strait Line system part # RP66083 would be your best option. It has a tongue weight range of 400-800 lbs and features the only sway control on the market that is designed to fight sway before it starts.

You should note that the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle needs to be considered as tongue weight as well.

For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
