Adapter to Tow a Fifth Wheel Trailer with a B&W Gooseneck Turnoverball Hitch
Question:
Im pulling a 5th wheel with a B and W gooseneck attached Eaz-Lift adapter and a short bed. I already had a situation with the camper hitting the back of the cab on a tight turn and I have had nothing but problems trying to disconnect my 5th wheel from my truck with the gooseneck. Ive been told a slider hitch would be recommended to save my stress level. Would a Curt X5 16310 adapter with a Curt E16 hitch fix my problem?

Expert Reply:
The Curt X5 Adapter # 16310 is designed to work with your B&W Gooseneck # BWGNRK1108. It will also provide you with the industry standard rails needed for the Curt E16 Fifth Wheel Hitch # 16516. This will give you up to 12 inches of travel for turning clearance so you don't hit your truck with your trailer anymore.
Another option is the B&W Companion Fifth Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3400 that fits right into the Turnoverball gooseneck. This will also give you 12 inches for turn clearance. The Companion has a higher weight capacity at 20,000 pounds, and thick dual jaws to decrease rattle and improve contact between the king pin and hitch.
