Will Glacier Emergency Twist-Link Snow Tire Chains # PW6081 Fit 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan
Question:
What type of vehicle do these fit? Picture shows a delivery truck tire. Does this work for a Pickup truck or Minivan application? Can I cut it down to work?

I contacted our representative at Glacier Chains, and she informed me that the Glacier Emergency Twist-Link Snow Tire Chain, part # PW6081, will fit rim sizes between 15 to 18 Inches. To install part # PW6081, you need to have holes in your wheels for the chain to pass through. If you have solid steel wheels with hub caps, you may not be able to use part # PW6081.
The Glacier Emergency Chains are not vehicle specific and will work with pickups or minivans. You will not need to cut down the chains as they are adjustable to fit 15 Inch to 18 Inch rims.
The Glacier Emergency Twist-Link Chains, part # PW6081, are designed for emergency use to pull out a vehicle that is stuck. The Emergency Chains are not designed to be driven down the road in the snow.
For snow tire chains to drive in the snow, you will need to check the tire size on your Dodge Grand Caravan which will be a set of 3 numbers. I show that the 2010 Dodge Caravan came with 2 different wheel and tire sizes, 225/65-16 and 225/65-17.
If you have the 225/65-16 size, I would recommend Thule Tire Chains, part # TH01571240, which includes 2 chains, gloves, a kneeling mat, instructions, and a hard carrying case.
If you have 225/65-17 size, I would recommend Thule Tire Chains, part # TH01571245, which also includes 2 chains, gloves, kneeling mat, instructions and case.
The Thule Chains, part # TH01571240, and part # TH01571245, are self-tensioning chains which make installation of the chains very simple and painless.
Before installing snow chains on your vehicle, you will want to consult your vehicles owners manual or contact your Dodge Dealer to see if it is acceptable to use snow chains on your Dodge Caravan.
I have linked an FAQ on Thule Snow Tire Chains, and an FAQ Review of Snow Tire Chains that you may find as a good reference.
