Mounting a Transmission Cooler on Existing Radiator or Condenser vs Brackets.

Question:

I am concerned about the wear and tear of mounting a cooler through a radiator as opposed to mounting using brackets to frame components. What happens to the radiator fins over the years with the extra weight of an aftermarket cooler dragging on them? I have some experience with shock and vibration effects and am having trouble with the concept of the through fin cooler mounts.

As long as all four spears are taught (As they should be installed) and not allowing a transmission cooler like the Derale # D13503 to bounce around there won't be any damage to the radiator or condenser.

We do offer frame mount coolers if that's what you'd prefer. I've linked our selection for your. We also offer remote coolers with a built in fan that can be installed anywhere in the engine compartment that you can fit it. I've linked this selection as well.
