How to Mount Hopkins Multi-Tow Adapter onto Trailer Hitch for 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe
Question:
Hello, I have a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe SE and a question about your Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, Code: 75776. In your online pictures and video for my Santa Fe hitch install it appears that the hitch wiring plug mounting plate is hidden under the Santa Fes bumper. My question is will I still be able to mount the Hopkins 47185 Multi-Tow Adapter on this hitch on my 2017 Santa Fe?

Expert Reply:
For the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch # 75776 on your 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe, as you mentioned, the wiring harness mounting plate will be covered by your vehicle's bumper after installation. However, the Hopkins Adapter # 37185 referenced in your question does also include its own mounting bracket. You can use this along with the Tow-Ready No-Drill Mount Bracket # 18136 to mount the adapter to the hitch crosstube next to the receiver. I have included a video demonstration to show you how this will work.
If you already have the Hopkins Adapter and just need the mounting hardware, you can use the Draw-Tite # 18138 and # 18140.
Lastly, if you do not already have a 4-way installed in your Hyundai Santa Fe, you can use the Curt # C56332. I have included an installation video for your review.
