What are the Dimensions of the Bulldog Powered Drive Trailer Jack # BD500200
Question:
i need to make certain that my truck tailgate has clearance to lower completely. One dimension that is missing is the center line of the jack-shaft to the front of the gear box head. Also, what is the height of the gear box head? Thanks

Expert Reply:
From the center of the shaft to the front outside edge of the motor housing is 3-1/2 inches. I included some of the mounting plate when I measured for height, which is 8-1/4 inches, since that sticks out over the shaft as well. I also measured from the bracket that fixes to your trailer's A-frame to the bottom of the mounting plate for the motor and that measured 13 inches. See included picture for a visual.
To make sure that you have a secure power connection to the jack motor I recommend using the Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connectors # DW05745-5. You can also use the Ultra-Fab Protective Cover # UF38-944020 to help protect your motor and motor housing from the elements when not in use.
I have included links to some demonstration videos for you to view as well.
