High Low Adapter Recommendation for 2014 Honda CRV Towed by RV with 28 inch Tall Hitch
Question:
MY MOTORHOME RECEIVER IS 28inch FROM THE GROUND. I WANT TO USE A BLUE OX ALLADIN TOW BAR. MY TOAD IS A 2014 HONDA CRV. I HAVE NOT INSTALLED THE BASE PLATE AS OF NOW. WHAT WILL BE THE HEIGHT OF THE BASE PLATE TO THE RV RECEIVER. WILL I NEED A DROP RECEIVER? AND HOW MUCH DROP WILL I NEED?

Expert Reply:
The bracket height for the Blue Ox base plate kit part # BX2258 which is a fit for your 2014 Honda CR-V will be 15-1/2 inches when installed. That means you would need the high low adapter part # BX88132 since you are a difference of 12-1/2 inches and 2-1/2 inches is within the safe range.
