Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2011 Toyota Highlander that Allows Use of Full Size Spare
Question:
I have a 2011 Toyota Highlander and would like to keep my full spare and not use straps for a bike rack. It appears Item #75726 is the only choice, is this correct? Also, I would like to setup the tow wiring to have the plug attached to the hitch. I need to check if I have the tow package or not to the correct wire harness, but for the permanent plug attached to the hitch is Item #30717 all I need for this? Or do I need to purchase an additional bracket. Thank you.

For your 2011 Toyota Highlander, the Draw Tite hitch part # 75726 that you referenced will be your best option. It allows you to keep your full sized spare and it does not require a stabilizer strap when carrying a non-supported load like a bike rack. I attached an install video.
For trailer wiring you then would want the part # 118449 which is a confirmed fit. This harness stows inside the rear hatch area of the vehicle so a mounting bracket would not be needed.
