Fifth Wheel Hitch and Rail Kit Recommendation for 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Short Bed

Just bought a new Montana3160RL wt.11995..2011 Chevy 2500 HD crew cab w/short bed . Looking for advice on which hitch would you recommend

Since you have a short bed truck you are going to have to use a slider hitch to allow you the ability to make tight turns. Since getting out and activating a slider everytime you enter and leave a parking lot can be a bit of a hassle (especially in inclement weather), I would highly recommend a hitch that automatically slides as you make tight turns.

For that I would recommend the Demco Hijacker Auto Slide part # DM8550034. This 18k hitch will work great for you and I would highly recommend it.

Then for a rail system I would recommend a custom fit install kit as it will install in about half the time as a universal kit and will minimize drilling. For that you would wan the part # DM8552011-71.
