Troubleshooting Solenoid for Slide-Out Cylinder That Does Not Operate

Question:

Slide has only one hydraulic cylinder operating. But, the one that works, goes in and out. The non-working one does neither. Could this be from the Thrombetta switching solenoid, or is it the hydraulic cylinder itself or line? I have no leaks detected at this time, and my reservoir is full.

You can test the function of the slider's troublesome hydraulic actuator cylinder by swapping the wiring between the two cylinders. If the bad one now works (when connected to the wiring for the other) then you know the issue is not the cylinder, but the wiring. Since you have no hydraulic fluid leaks or other visible issues this does suggest the problem is electrical. Replacing your Trombetta Polarity Reversing Solenoid # LC118246 may be your easiest route.
