Recommended Carpeted Bunk To Replace Rollers On 2004 Venture Boat Trailer

Question:

Hi - I am an existing customer, working on a 2004 venture roller trailer. I would really like to convert this to being a bunk trailer. 20foot Jones Brothers Caper Fisherman, 4,000 Pounds. Can you recommend the proper components to get the job done..?

From my research of the Venture boat trailers it looks like there are two cross members for the 20-ft trailers.

You will need to determine what length bunk boards you want to install on your trailer. We do offer bunk boards that have the carpet already installed on them if that works for you. For a 6-ft boards you can order part # CE27840, and for 5-ft you would need part # CE27820. These do come in pairs.

To secure the bunk boards to your trailer frame I recommend the CE Smith Bolster And Swivel Brackets, part # CE10000G-4. These brackets are 9-inches tall and there are four brackets in the package. From my research it looks like the trailer frame measures 3 x 5 inches. We do not offer the U-bolts for a 5-inch trailer frame but you should be able to find them at a local hardware store. The bolsters will work with 1/2 inch U-bolts. I recommend using galvanized hardware to help prevent corrosion.

If you need keel rollers or other rollers for your trailer you can check out the attached product page for trailer parts. Or let me know what you need and I will be glad to make some recommendations that will work for you.
