Determining If High-Low Adapter Is Needed When Flat-Towing 2012 Honda Fit
Question:
Hello, With the Roadmaster base plate on a Honda Fit, at approximately what height is the safe zone for a Falcon 2 tow bar? Did you happen to measure the one you made in the video? Im asking because I have a 2008 Itasca Navion which has a hitch approximately 24inch above the ground, and would like to be able to order the correct Roadmaster high-low adapter at the same time, rather than order the baseplate, install it, measure it, and then order the high-low adapter and wait for that to arrive.

Unfortunately, the measurement you asked about was not taken in the video of the installation of base plates on the Honda Fit. Since there are so many different vehicles and they can have so many different configurations it is best to measure for the high-low adapter after the base plates have been installed. That way you are sure to get the right high-low adapter for your specific installation.
I have attached a photo of the # 521190-1 base plates installed on a 2012 Honda Fit. You may be able to get an idea of the height of the base plate arms for your set-up.
