Rear Axle Suspension Helper Spring Kit for 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche with 6-Inch Lift
Question:
Will the little work on a 2002 avalanche that has a 6inch lift kit

Expert Reply:
The AirLift 1000 Air Helper Spring kit # AL60769 installs inside your rear coil springs. This type of air bag cannot be used with suspension lift spacers the way you can with a kit like the Firestone # F2250 that mounts to the axle.
If you have a 2WD without factory top overload springs you can easily install rear suspension kit # CSS-1125R from Super Springs. Because this installs inside the turns of the coil springs it needs no spacers. This kit is simple to install, cost effective and it will provide support to your rear suspension when it is under load. It is also a zero-maintenance item - install it and forget it. The best part is that this kit will not alter the ride quality of the Avalanche during normal driving but it will add progressive resistance as you need it when towing or hauling.
